Terris watched his neighbours as they unloaded the giant stallion from the trailer, the animal's eyes rolled in their sockets, and he foamed at the mouth.

Even from a distance he could see the animal's fear, smell the sweat that coated the stallion's body, and he wondered just what had happened to the animal to put him in such a state.

The image of the stallion had not left his mind, even weeks later, and he often found himself wondering how the animal was faring in the expert care of his friends.

When he finally could take it no longer, and curiosity got the better of him, he made his way over to the neighboring property and asked about the horse.

"We are going to have to put him down, I'm afraid" Josh, the barn owner said sadly.

"We'd hoped he'd make a decent stud, but he's an abuse case, and he's just too dangerous, nobody can get near him, not even the vet, unless 'es heavily sedated."

"How about I take him?" Terris asked.
"I'll pay all your costs and see what I can make of him"

Josh thought about it for a moment, but, knowing that Terris would hound him until he gave in, decided to just go with it.

"Its a deal, but I'm warning you now, It will all end in tears...."
